NotchX does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, phone number, or address unless you voluntarily create an account.

If you choose to log in for premium features or cloud sync:

This data is securely processed using Firebase Authentication.

All gesture settings, notch calibration data, customizations, profiles, and preferences are stored locally on your device.

We do not:

• Monitor activity in other apps
• Record keystrokes
• Capture screen content
• Track browsing history

2. Required Permissions and Their Purpose

Accessibility Service Permission

Purpose:

• Detect touch gestures near the front camera/notch area
• Enable gesture-based actions such as flashlight, screenshot, or app shortcuts

Important:

• We do NOT read screen content
• We do NOT collect personal data
• We do NOT monitor typing or passwords
• Data accessed through Accessibility Service is never transmitted externally

This permission is used strictly for gesture detection functionality.

Display Over Other Apps (System Overlay)

Purpose:

• Show interactive notch indicator
• Display gesture feedback animations
• Enable NotchX menu interface

This permission does not allow access to other app data.

Camera Flashlight Permission

Purpose:

• Enable flashlight toggle through gestures

We do not capture photos or record video.

Internet Permission (If Logged In)

Purpose:

• Authentication via Firebase
• Optional cloud backup of settings
• Subscription verification

We do not track browsing data or user behavior.

3. Cloud Sync (Optional Feature)

If you choose to sign in:

• Your configuration settings may be securely stored in Firebase
• Data is encrypted in transit
• Data is accessible only to your account

The app can be used without logging in for basic features.

4. Third-Party Services

NotchX uses:

• Firebase Authentication
• Firebase Firestore (optional cloud sync)

We do not use:

• Advertising SDKs
• Third-party tracking services
• Data selling practices

5. Data Retention

• Local data remains on your device until the app is uninstalled.
• Cloud data (if enabled) may be deleted upon account deletion.

NotchX is not directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
